How people use the platform

Solo or with others — choose the format that fits.

Solo self-reflection

Open the platform, pick a deck, and draw cards. Write private notes that only you can see. Reflect at your own pace, in a quiet space, with no time pressure.

Session with a psychologist

Your psychologist sends a link. You open it and join the session in the browser. Work with cards together on a shared board — draw, discuss, take notes.

Group & methodical work

Join a group session by link. Everyone works on the same shared board. The facilitator guides the process, chooses the deck, and sets the note mode for the group.

Transformational games

Use colored tokens (5 colors) and a six-sided die for T-game formats. The facilitator manages the board while participants move tokens and roll dice. Currently in beta.

Without a dedicated platform

  • Cards shown via camera — no interaction, you can only watch
  • PDF or JPG files — no working environment, no notes, no shared space
  • No shared board for group work — everyone is isolated
  • No safe format for private reflection — no note privacy controls

With MAC Cards Online

  • Interactive shared board — draw, flip, move, and arrange cards together
  • Three note modes — private, anonymous, or public, depending on the session
  • Join by link — no installation, no mandatory sign-up
  • Public decks available immediately, plus author decks via invite codes

FAQ

Common questions about using the platform for self-reflection and sessions.

Getting started

Do I need to register?
No. You can open the platform, create or join a session, use public decks, write notes, and chat — all without signing in. An account (Google sign-in) is only needed for acquired decks and invite code activation.
How do I join a session by link?
Open the link your psychologist or facilitator shared. You join the session instantly in your browser — no installation, no sign-up required.
Can I start working on my own?
Yes. Open the platform and a session is created for you automatically. Choose a public deck and start drawing cards, writing notes, and reflecting at your own pace.
When do I need to sign in?
Sign in with Google is needed to activate invite codes, access acquired decks, and save your profile. All basic session features — cards, notes, chat, tokens, dice — work without an account.
Does it work on a tablet?
The platform is optimized for desktop and tablet browsers. Mobile support is being improved.

Decks & cards

Which decks are free?
Public decks are available to everyone immediately, without an account. They include image cards and word cards. Additional decks can be acquired via invite codes from deck creators.
How do I get additional decks?
Deck creators distribute invite codes. You activate an invite code on the platform (requires a Google account), and the deck appears in your Acquired section of the deck panel.
Where do acquired decks appear?
Acquired decks appear in the “Purchased” section of the deck panel inside the session. They are tied to your account and available in any session you join.
What are word cards?
Word cards are text-only cards without images. They are part of some decks and can be used alongside image cards for deeper reflection and association work.

Privacy

Who can see my notes?
It depends on the note mode. Private: only you see your note. Anonymous: everyone sees the text, only the host sees who wrote it. Public: everyone sees the text and the author.
Who can join my session?
Anyone with the session link can join. If you want a private session, use private mode (requires a signed-in account) to hide it from the public list.
Is session history saved?
Session data is not saved automatically. If you want to preserve the state of the board, take a screenshot before ending the session. Saved sessions are a Premium feature.
Is this a medical service?
No. The platform is a tool for working with metaphorical associative cards. It is not a medical or therapeutic service and does not provide diagnoses or treatment.

T-games & rooms

What are tokens and dice?
Tokens (5 colors) and a six-sided die (d6) are game pieces for transformational game formats. Each participant can place a token and roll the die. Server-generated rolls ensure fairness. This feature is in beta.
Are there special rooms for specific methods?
Rooms provide different visual atmospheres for sessions. You can apply specific methodologies (like the Johari window or other techniques) using standard rooms — the platform provides the tools, the facilitator brings the method.
