Pearl Purchase Terms

1. General

1.1. These Purchase Terms govern the purchase of in-platform digital units called Pearls in MAK Cards Online.

1.2. Service functionality is available through the supported app domains app.makcards.online and board.journalingapp.app. Informational and storefront pages, including the English-language Pearl Shop, may be published on journalingapp.app.

1.3. The current version of these Purchase Terms is published at https://journalingapp.app/offer/.

2. Accounts and Recipient Identity

2.1. Pearls are credited to a platform account identified by the recipient email entered during checkout.

2.2. You must provide a valid recipient email corresponding to an existing platform account.

2.3. Platform sign-in methods depend on the supported domain and flow. Optional sign-in details are described in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

3. Scope of Purchase

3.1. Pearls are digital units used only inside the platform.

3.2. Pearls may be used for Premium features, collectible items, deck invite codes, and other in-platform functions made available by the service.

3.3. Package names, Pearl amounts, and prices are shown in the Pearl Shop at /shop/.

4. Order and Contract Formation

4.1. You place an order by selecting a package, entering the recipient account email, clicking Pay or an equivalent checkout confirmation button, and successfully completing the payment flow.

4.2. If checkout is hosted or supported by a payment processor, merchant of record, or other payment partner, any additional confirmation steps shown during checkout form part of the purchase process.

4.3. By completing checkout, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Purchase Terms together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

5. Seller of Record and Payment Partner

5.1. The checkout page, invoice, receipt, or payment confirmation may identify a payment partner, merchant of record, or other transaction counterparty responsible for collecting payment for the order.

5.2. Where a merchant of record or payment partner is identified at checkout, that party is responsible for payment collection, billing, taxes, and transaction-level refund handling to the extent stated in its checkout terms or required by applicable law.

5.3. MAK Cards Online remains responsible for platform-side delivery of Pearls to the identified account after successful payment confirmation and for resolving platform-side technical crediting issues.

6. Prices and Payment

6.1. Prices are shown in the Pearl Shop or at checkout in the currency offered for the relevant storefront.

6.2. Available payment methods may include bank cards and other payment methods displayed during checkout.

6.3. Your payment obligation is fulfilled when payment is successfully authorized, captured, or otherwise confirmed by the payment processor or merchant of record.

6.4. An invoice, receipt, or equivalent payment document may be issued by the payment partner, merchant of record, or other entity identified during checkout.

7. Delivery of Pearls

7.1. Pearls are credited to the selected account after successful payment confirmation, usually automatically and without undue delay.

7.2. In some cases involving payment review, anti-fraud checks, or technical verification, crediting may take up to 24 hours after payment confirmation.

7.3. Delivery is completed when the purchased Pearls are credited to the balance of the recipient account identified at checkout.

8. Refunds, Failed Crediting, and Support

8.1. Refunds, cancellations, and billing adjustments for fiat payments are handled according to the checkout terms of the payment partner or merchant of record identified during checkout, together with any mandatory rights under applicable law.

8.2. If Pearls were not credited after successful payment confirmation because of a platform-side issue, contact support@journalingapp.app. We will either credit the purchased Pearls or coordinate the appropriate correction with the payment partner.

8.3. Questions about card charges, tax treatment, invoices, or chargebacks should be directed first to the entity identified on the payment receipt or checkout confirmation.

9. Nature of Pearls

• Pearls are not money, e-money, cryptocurrency, securities, or an investment product.
• Pearls have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn for cash.
• Pearls cannot be transferred between accounts unless the platform expressly provides such functionality.

10. User Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate checkout and recipient information.
• You must not use the service or Pearls for unlawful or abusive purposes.
• You remain responsible for reviewing any payment-partner terms shown during checkout before completing payment.

11. Data Processing

11.1. We process personal data needed to create and fulfill Pearl orders in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

11.2. Payment partners or merchants of record may process your payment data under their own privacy terms and legal obligations.

12. Changes to These Purchase Terms

12.1. We may update these Purchase Terms for legal, operational, product, or technical reasons.

12.2. The updated version becomes effective on the date stated in the revised document unless a later effective date is expressly stated.

12.3. Orders completed before the updated version takes effect remain governed by the version that applied at the time of payment.
