Deck Editor

The Deck Editor lets you create and manage your own card decks. You can add image cards, word cards, organize them into groups, and submit decks for moderation.

What it is

Core elements

  • Custom deck: a personal card deck that you create and manage.
  • Groups: sections within a deck (e.g., situations, resources). Each group has its own card back image.
  • Image cards: cards with uploaded images (photos, illustrations).
  • Word cards: text-only cards displayed in a handwritten style.
  • Deck cover: the main image shown in the deck list.
  • Deck status: Draft, Private, Submitted, Approved, or Rejected.

Requirements

  • Account: you must be signed in with Google or Yandex.
  • Premium: an active Premium subscription is required.
  • Contributor badge: the CONTR achievement must be unlocked.
  • Slots: each account has a limited number of deck slots (Premium and PRO badge grant additional slots).

Status workflow

  1. Draft — the deck is being edited. Only you can see it.
  2. Private — the deck is complete and usable in your own sessions, but not visible to others.
  3. Submitted — the deck is sent for moderation review.
  4. Approved — the deck is published and available to all users.
  5. Rejected — the moderator declined the deck. You can edit and resubmit it.

How to use

Opening the editor

  1. Open the left panel and switch to the Deck Editor tab.
  2. You will see the list of your personal decks and a button to create a new one.
  3. Tap a deck to open it in the editor canvas.

Creating a new deck

  1. Click Create deck (if you have available slots).
  2. Fill in the deck metadata:
    • Name — deck title (supports Russian and English).
    • Description — short description of the deck theme.
  3. The deck is created in Draft status.

Editing deck cover

  1. Click the cover area at the top of the editor canvas.
  2. Upload an image in the crop modal: drag to reposition, pinch or scroll to zoom.
  3. Confirm to save the cover.

Managing groups

  1. Each deck starts with one default group.
  2. Add new groups to organize cards by theme.
  3. For each group, upload a card back image — this is shown when cards are face down.

Adding image cards

  1. Open the group you want to add cards to.
  2. Click the upload area or use bulk upload to add multiple images at once.
  3. Each image opens in the crop modal for adjustment.
  4. Cards appear in a grid layout (10 per row) on the editor canvas.

Adding word cards

  1. Scroll to the Word cards section of the editor canvas.
  2. Add text entries — each becomes a separate word card.
  3. Word cards appear as vertical cards with handwritten-style text.
  4. In sessions, word cards can be drawn alongside image cards.

Word + image fusion

When a word card overlaps an image card on the session canvas, they merge visually — the word text appears along the borders of the image card (OH Cards style).

Publishing workflow

  1. When the deck is ready, change its status to Private to use it in your sessions.
  2. To share with all users, click Submit for moderation.
  3. A moderator reviews the deck and either approves or rejects it.
  4. If rejected, you receive feedback and can edit and resubmit.

Scenarios

  • Personal practice: create a deck with your own images for private sessions.
  • Professional use: design a themed deck and submit it for community use.
  • Word associations: add word cards to create an OH Cards-style experience.
  • Bilingual deck: fill in names and descriptions in both Russian and English.

Tips and errors

  • If the "Create deck" button is disabled, you have used all available deck slots. Upgrade to Premium or earn the PRO badge for extra slots.
  • Deck names and descriptions support multiple languages — fill in both for wider reach.
  • Image cards are protected by the platform's tile fragmentation and watermarking system.
  • Bulk upload processes images one by one — wait for each to finish cropping before proceeding.
  • You can edit a deck at any time while it is in Draft or Private status.
  • After a deck is Submitted, edits are locked until moderation is complete.
  • Rejected decks can be edited freely and resubmitted.
